Account and Data Deletion
Effective Date: 30 October 2026 Last Updated: 30 October 2026
This page explains how temple partners and their staff can delete a SwaaHaa Partner account, or ask us to delete specific data. SwaaHaa Partner - the partner console at https://partner.swaahaa.in and the SwaaHaa Partner mobile app - is operated by Hosangadi Enterprises LLP, the developer listed for the SwaaHaa Partner app on Google Play.
Devotees who want to delete their SwaaHaa account should visit https://www.swaahaa.in/policies/account-deletion/.
Opens your email app with a pre-filled request. Add your temple name and the mobile number you sign in with before sending.
1. How to request deletion
Email support@swaahaa.in with the name of your temple, the mobile number you sign in with, and what you would like deleted. We verify that the request comes from the account holder, or from someone authorised to act for the temple, before acting. Once verified, we complete the request within 30 days and confirm by email.
2. Deleting your account
You can ask us to delete your SwaaHaa Partner account at any time. When we do, your account is closed, you are signed out of every device, and you can no longer access the partner console, the SwaaHaa Partner app or any temple. Your profile photograph and other personal details are erased at once. Your name and email address are kept on the closed account record for 180 days, as required by applicable law, and are then erased. If you are a temple admin, you can also ask us to remove a staff member's access to your temple without deleting their account.
If you also use the SwaaHaa app for devotees with the same mobile number, that is the same account, so deleting it removes it there too.
3. Deleting specific data
If you are a temple admin, you can remove your temple's images and videos, and edit its profile, in Settings in the partner console. For any other data, email support@swaahaa.in describing what you would like deleted. Some records must be kept by law - see section 5.
4. Closing your temple's partner account
Closing your temple's partner account ends your Temple Partner Agreement, so it follows the termination terms in that agreement, including its notice period and the completion of bookings already confirmed. To begin, your temple's authorised signatory should send written notice to legal@swaahaa.in. A closed partner account cannot be reopened.
5. What we keep, and for how long
The law requires us to keep certain records after an account is deleted or a partner account is closed. We keep only what is required.
Transaction records - bookings, donations, settlements, commission and tax - are kept for 7 years from the date of the transaction, as required by the Income Tax Act, 1961.
Onboarding and verification documents are kept only for as long as the law or our payment partner requires, and are then securely destroyed or returned to the temple.
The name and email address of a deleted account are kept on the closed account record for 180 days and are then erased. They are not used to contact you.
The mobile number of a deleted account is kept on the closed account record so that past activity remains attributable. It is not used to contact you, and no longer gives access to the closed account.
Crash logs and analytics are anonymised and kept for up to 24 months.
Support correspondence is kept for as long as necessary to resolve disputes and meet legal obligations.
When a retention period ends, the data is securely deleted or permanently anonymised.
6. Deletion is permanent
Deleting an account cannot be undone. If you sign in again later with the same mobile number, you start with a new, empty account that has no access to any temple - contact support@swaahaa.in if you need access in future. Download any statement you need before you ask us to delete your account.
7. Contact
Questions about deletion, or about the data we hold, can be sent to support@swaahaa.in. Our data practices are described in the SwaaHaa Privacy Policy at https://partner.swaahaa.in/privacy.
